Dear Praying Friends:
Peter, Paul, & Mary sang a song in the late 60’s called, “Leaving On a Jet Plane”. Do you remember it? Oh, how I want to sing the song!
My initial Nigeria business visa application to teach Bible translation software in two weeks to mother tongue translators was denied, the embassy claiming that I needed a work permit. This was quite confusing since in the past I’ve applied for, and received, a multiple entry business visa with the same documents recently submitted. Adding to the confusion is that Bruce Bridges, my colleague, also submitted for a Nigerian multiple entry visa application using the same documentation I did and his business was granted.
Last night, I FedEx’ed another Nigerian business visa application albeit with an individual from a different document processing company. He believes he is able to get the visa through in time for my Friday, October 4th departure.
Would you please pray for the Nigerian Business visa to be granted?
I am scheduled to teach Bible translation software to approximately 50 mother tongue translators that truly need this material. Knowing this software expedites Bible translation and that’s what we’re all about.
Singing is not one of my gifts so you really don’t want to hear that song coming out of my mouth. But, come Friday, October 4, it would be nice to at least hum, “I’m leaving on a jet plane and I know when I’ll be back again…”
Would you please pray and help make it happen?
