OLD TESTAMENT 101

Israel’s writing prophets are among the most influential communicators in world history. Often misunderstood but seldom pondered, their rhetoric still speaks powerfully through time. For the Spring we will take the time to look at some of the Old Testament prophetical books to look for and discover how God spoke through them to reach their people and how we can use what they say and how they say it to speak the Gospel of Jesus Christ to ourselves and to those around us.

21 MOST EFFECTIVE PRAYERS OF THE BIBLE

Does your prayer life need a boost?  Find the spark it’s missing with this collection of 21 biblical prayers that produced results.  From the “Remember me” of Hannah to the “Give me wisdom” of Solomon to the “Increase our faith” of Jesus’ disciples, you’ll gain insight into the prayers that God is pleased to answer – the prayers that could change your life.  Filled with practical and personal examples, this study makes scriptural prayers come alive – making them easy to remember and apply.  Class starts February 6th at 9:15am in the library with Linda Opp.

JEWISH EVANGELISM & THE ROOTS OF OUR FAITH

We will be looking at the Jewish foundation of faith, learning how to view the Word of God from a Jewish perspective, and see Christianity through Jewish eyes.  Our goal is to prepare ourselves to boldly and confidently share Jesus, their own Messiah, with the lost sheep of the House of Israel.  It is our hope to end the study with a Messianic Seder showing Christ in the Passover.  Class starts Jan.16th in the Lower Level Office with Ron Cusano.
