Proverbs 27:17 says: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Men’s Dinner & Study
Every Thursday, 6:30-8pm, through-out the year, 25 to 40 men gather for an awesome meal, followed by some time sharing what’s been going on in their lives, followed by some time hearing from God through the Bible. It is a powerful night, filled with the kind of encouragement that men need to rise above their fault and struggles, and plenty of laughter. Our Goal is that you go away FULL. A full belly, a full mind (knowing a little better how to live & work), and a full heart (knowing someone cares how you are doing.) This evening is led by Pastor John Chestnut, and he can answer any questions you may have before attending.
Men’s Bible Basics
Subtitle: I just became a Christian and I’m clueless.
Or: Help, My wife has become a church-lady, and I don’t get it.
Or: My wife loves Jesus so much I better start acting like him.
Guys– we’re starting a Bible study with Pastor Stephen that starts at the very basics of what it means to be a Christian. So whether those subtitles apply or not, if you want to know the core of what being a Christian is, and what the bible has to say, this is for you. Some of you were just told by your wife, “Read the Bible, I think this would be good for you.” She may be right, but you have no idea where to start. No question too simple or too hard, we will be starting from scratch. Perhaps you’ve watched the people around you grow as Christians but you have never been that interested. Don’t let the power of God’s word be missed in your life; you will find advice in dealing with people, dealing with your own issues, and what God really expects from you.
Details: We are going to meet every other Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30 in Pastor Stephen’s office. This runs at the same time as Boys Brigade in case you have a son involved there.
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7-8am, a couple of guys meet with Pastor Stephen in his office to pray and read through some scripture. Talk to Pastor Stephen if you are interested in being involved.
