Titus has done a good job at instruction - church leaders, men, women, employees. But any good listener or reader is asking the question "why?" or even "how?" Why should we change our behavior and honor God? How can we obey this instruction when being selfish is so natural? Today's text gives the why and the how to issue of Christian ethics. We act with love toward others as part of God's grace and revelation to the world. As we wait for the return of Jesus, we show HYim off to the watching world through our actions.
